Summer Really Does Come

We had a long winter. Almost two feet of snow fell on Mother’s Day. And even after we bade farewell to the last snowflake, there was a coolness that just didn’t leave. Until last week. The sun finally decided to bake the region and we’ve been faced with 80s and 90s.

…And my rose finally bloomed.

Looking at it, you would never guess that icy fingers gripped it in May. Newly planted, I wasn’t sure it would pull through. I didn’t think it would bloom it’s first year. But it did, and it is gorgeous!

I just had to share it’s beauty with you all! Truly sometimes the best things are born out of the hard, cold times.

Wollerton Old Hall Rose

  1. That surely is a gorgeous rose – just meltingly lovely…what would one call that indescribable color?!

  2. I really love it! I think it was referenced as ‘a cream colored rose with apricot hues’.
